Formed by Agus Barandiaran in 2004, KORRONTZI offers a fusion of traditional sounds of Basque domestic folk music with a contemporary aspect, always in the setting of music based on the trikitixa (Basque diatonic accordion), and accompanied by more modern instruments. During these fourteen years the group has published seven records, travelling with their culture, dance and music all over the world. They have been awarded prizes and mentions like the World Music Charts or the best European Eurofolk Band, among others.
