Enric Mont Lecocq presents his project LECOCQ, where singing in Catalan and French he explores an intimate artistic identity, as can be heard in the album "Sous la glace / Sota el gel" and in his latest EP "Volaille/Aviram". His live performance delivers a fresh and danceable sound, with the voice as the central axis, blending chanson, indie-pop, electronic and neo-soul with refined production. In 2025, he will be presenting songs from his upcoming album, scheduled for release in 2026.
The first time I heard LECOCQ’s songs live was at a Sant Joan revetlla he himself organized. It wasn’t just a simple gathering of friends, but an event of greater scope — you could tell because a portable toilet had to be installed. Interestingly, the Bisbal-born Enric Mont always makes sure that the songs he creates under the alias LECOCQ also have everything they need, but nothing more: his prudence in not inflating his music with superfluous details is, in fact, very close to boldness. The compositional economy he practices on Volaille / Aviram, his latest EP, is almost an act of involuntary activism: it turns out that a memorable melody can easily contain all the inputs we need
