The ORQUESTRA ÀRAB DE BARCELONA (OAB) has, as well as a musical aim, the purpose of educating, spreading and being a spokesman for many Arabs who do not have a voice. It is a project that has overcome the sound barrier, becoming an icon for an immigrant who sees a dream come true in what their compatriots have done. The OAB is an example of public-spiritedness and integration. Also of mixed blood and fusion: consecrated musicians, who propose a well-elaborated piece of work, loaded with flavours, words and Arabic meanings. An orchestra worthy of representing our land all over the world as they demonstrate with their last record and show Maktub (Harmonia Mundi, 2008).
