AMORANTE is the personal project of Iban Urizar, a musician who has participated in infinite projects in his twenty-year career. Linked to the free improvisation and experimental music scene of the Basque Country in projects like Bizarre or Mengele Quartet; to pop-rock, forming part of groups with Joseba Irazoki and Rafa Rueda and to folk with Joseba Tapia, he has now launched his solo project, which unites traditional popular music with experimental and improvisation without losing sight of the concept of song as a vehicle of expression. His first album includes five songs that are traditional in character, but experimental in their treatment of sound.
