CALIMA

CALIMA was created in 2004 in Barcelona by members and musicians of different countries, cultures and ethnicities. Its founder, Juanlu 'El Canijo' was also co-founder and member of Ojos de Brujo before embarking on this project, which he is at the forefront of as bassist, artistic director and producer. With the first album the band won the Latin Grammy nomination for best flamenco album, and since then they have continued to play in national and international festivals. This year they are presenting their fourth project Lumbre ... Canciones de carromato, an album created by flamencos, gypsies, jazzys, Balkans, Mediterraneans, rumberos, poets and madmen.
