With only toy keyboards and a handful of second-hand pedals, these two science fiction individuals decided to start making songs in a London student hostel room. The intention of THE SUICIDE OF WESTERN CULTURE was to play sounds of the groups they admired in the 90s. Godspeed You Black Emperor, Disco Inferno, Mogwai, Flying Saucer Attack, Tortoise ... An ode to analogical power. So they toured the whole world and played in festivals as prestigious as SXSW, Primavera Sound, Sonar, Popkomm, the FYF ... Now they present their second album, Hope Only Brings Pain (Irregular, 2013). The duo returns to hunt all humans hungry and eager for music made from the heart of machines. Lo-fi electronic, analogical and emotional post-rock rhythms that will take you on a journey full of contrasts. Unique Chiaroscuros like the best printed works of Goya.
